Arizona Cardinals Opponent Preview: Kansas City Chiefs

The Arizona Cardinals face the Chiefs this Sunday, in which both teams have lost two straight and they desperately need this win to get themselves control in the playoff hunt. The Cardinals will be home for the game so they will have that going for them. Lets take a look at this Chiefs squad.

Best running back in the league (my opinion)

If the Chiefs want anytime of offense this week, they’re going to need Jamal Charles to go and destroy the Arizona Cardinals defense. He does carry the skill to do it, with his ability to basically out maneuver anyone wearing cleats ad has incredible speed. The best way for the Cardinals to win this game is to make sure Charles doesn’t get hot.

Terrible offensive weapons

The Chiefs receivers haven’t scored a touchdown this entire season. I’ll say that again, the Kansas City Chiefs’ receivers HAVEN’T SCORED A TOUCHDOWN THIS ENTIRE SEASON. That is pathetic, the tight ends have scored  touchdowns but it’s sad when you pay these guys millions and they can’t score a touchdown. This game should be the game where the Arizona Cardinals get their secondary on point for the remainder of the season.

Deadly pass rush

Justin Houston is the NFL leader in sacks with 14 sacks, Tamba Hali only has 5 sacks but he get the pressure on the quarterback which is extremely important. The Chiefs are 8th in the NFL with 32 sacks and the Arizona Cardinals have given up only 19 sacks. Should be a fun matchup to pay attention to.

Alex Smith

Smith needs a big day if the running game doesn’t exist. He is a efficient quarterback, he won’t light you up but he will burn you if you give him that option. He is nimble and athletic and he is very accurate. However, he doesn’t like to throw the ball deep and he won’t carry teams. This is going to be interesting to see how he plays.

I got the Arizona Cardinals winning. Both teams are in a do or die situation but I have faith in the home team to pull off the win.
