Why This Game Will Decide The Arizona Cardinals Season
By Omar Soussi
The Arizona Cardinals face the Chiefs this Sunday at Glendale that will be a huge do or die game for both teams to keep themselves in the playoff hunt. This game is especially huge for the Arizona Cardinals as they are just half a game ahead of the Seahawks and tied with the Packers and Eagles for home field advantage.

Crazy as it sounds, this is the Cards most winnable game at this moment. They have to go to St. Louis on Thursday, play the Seahawks at home the next week and their final game is at San Francisco. The Chiefs are reeling and they aren’t the same team on the road as they are at home. This is the same team that lost to the Raiders on the road. A win here can really help Arizona stay on top in the playoff picture and make the road a whole lot bumpier for the rest of the NFC. A loss here can possibly kill their realistic playoff chances (they will be mathematically alive but their hope will be shot).
This matchup will have a huge impact toward the rest of the season and playoff seeding. If the Arizona Cards can’t win this game, they’ll lose all the lead in the NFC that they’ve spent the first half of the season building up and the Chiefs will be right inside the playoff hunt. If the Cards win, they’ll gain momentum towards the divisional run of the season and they will be the top dog for another week in the NFC and the Chiefs might be done in the AFC wildcard fight.
