Phoenix Suns finally get back their groove against the Hornets
By Omar Soussi
The Phoenix Suns finally got a win after losing six straight, beating the Charlotte Hornets 113-106 on Thursday night.
The Suns have been struggling defensively throughout their six-game losing streak, giving up 100 points per game in all the game against the Bucks when they gave up 96. They did give up 106 against the Hornets but the Suns buckled down during the fourth quarter and only gave up 16 points while putting up 28 points of their own.
Phoenix got back arguably their best player as Goran Dragic returned from a strained back that cost him two games. He came back great as well, putting up 20 points and eight assists.

Another great key moment from the Suns was the balanced offense. Six players put up double-digit points including Markieff Morris, Alex Len, Dragic, Eric Bledsoe, Gerald Green and finally Isaiah Thomas. Thomas put up the most points with 23 off the bench.
The road team showed up in the paint, especially in the rebound and field goal statistics, getting 43 rebounds (eight more than Charlotte) and shooting six percent better than Charlotte.
The thing I loved the most about this game was the Suns ability to finish. They didn’t collapse and lose the game at the last second. They shut it down and didn’t allow the Hornets to win the game by controlling the glass in the last minute.
The Suns will next face the New York Knicks from Madison Square Garden Garden on Saturday morning. This game will be another chance for the Suns to get another win and build up their confidence.
