Under center is dual-threat senior quarterback Anthony Boone who had a very successful regular season in his second season as the starting quarterback. The 6-foot-1, 225-pound speedster racked up 2,507 passing yards and 17 touchdowns while only throwing seven interceptions. Of those seven interceptions, five of them came in losses to Miami, Virginia Tech and North Carolina.

In addition to the passing numbers, Boone also racked up some significant rushing numbers as well. He totaled 346 yards on the ground while scoring an additional five times. Boone kept defenses guessing and held them on edge with his zone reads throughout the 2014 campaign. Eight of the 12 games this season involved Boone carrying the ball at least six times.
