Suns Complete Perfect Road Trip
The Phoenix Suns will head back to the desert with a three game winning streak after completing an undefeated road trip on Sunday night with a 104-92 victory over the previously surging Washington Wizards.
The game was knotted up at 50-50 at halftime, but the Suns came out strong in the second half. Phoenix jumped ahead with a 13-4 run in the first five minutes of the third quarter. The Wizards battled back in the fourth quarter, but another surge by Phoenix proved too difficult to overcome.
Washington cut the Phoenix lead to 95-89 with just over two and a half minutes to go in the fourth quarter before Eric Bledsoe decided to turn on the jets again with another late game push. He scored seven points in part of a 9-0 run to help push the lead to 15 points.
Bledsoe tied with Markieff Morris for the team-high in points with 17. Bledsoe also added nine rebounds in the contest, coming up just one board shy of his second consecutive double-double after finishing with 25 points and 10 rebounds against New York on Saturday.
