Cardinals Overcome Adversity And Qualify For Playoffs
The Cardinals have experienced nearly every type of adversity a football team can encounter over the course of the 2014 season. Suspensions, concussions, season ending injuries, you name it, the Cardinals have had to deal with it.
Anyone of those things would be enough to destroy a season for most teams. However, after watching the Cards overcome all adversity to make the playoffs it is clear these Arizona Cardinals are not most teams.
The Cards started the season with a 9-1 record and went to Seattle in Week 10 with a chance to take a two-game lead in the NFC West. Seattle would win that game 19-3 and fans would begin to question whether Stanton had the ability to lead the Arizona Cardinals through the playoffs and into the Superbowl.
The Cardinals went 2-2 in December clinching a playoff spot but losing home field advantage to division rival Seattle Seahwaks.
Considering everything this team has gone through in 2014, making the playoffs was a major if not miraculous achievement. Now it remains to be seen if the miracles continue into the postseason.
