Suns On Fire, Take Down Bucks
The Phoenix Suns were able to stay hot despite freezing temperatures outside in Milwaukee on Tuesday night with a comeback victory, 102-96.
Markieff Morris led the charge with 26 points and 10 rebounds to help the Suns (21-16) win their ninth game in their last 11 contests.
Phoenix started the game shooting very poorly and at one point, halfway through the second quarter, had more turnovers (10) than made field goals (eight). Once Coach Jeff Hornacek switched to the three-guard lineup (Eric Bledsoe, Goran Dragic, and Isaiah Thomas) the offense thrived.
Out of Thomas’ 19 points, he scored 13 of them off the bench in the second quarter to keep the Suns in the game and brought them within one point of the Bucks lead at the half.

Phoenix and Milwaukee exchanged the lead a few times in the beginning of the fourth quarter, but the Bucks’ offense stalled in the final frame as they hit just nine of their 27 shot attempts.

Following a three-pointer from Khris Middleton that helped the Bucks (18-18) take a 94-92 lead, the Suns closed the game out with a 10-2 run. Morris hit a three-pointer with under a minute remaining in the game to take a seven-point lead.
Bledsoe also finished with a double-double on an evening where his shot was not going for him. He was able to put up 10 points, 10 assists, six rebounds, and two steals nonetheless. Dragic scored 16 points and added six rebounds and three assists to help the Suns’ cause.
Alex Len played a much larger sum of the game than fellow center Miles Plumlee. Len played 24 minutes and scored nine points, grabbed eight rebounds, and blocked five shots. In comparison, Plumlee scored four points and had two rebounds in 11 minutes.
Milwaukee outscored the Suns in fast break points (23-15), had more points in the paint (52-40), and had fewer turnovers (17-20), but still managed to find themselves on the losing side.
The Suns will be back in action tomorrow night when they continue their road trip in Minnesota as they take on the Timberwolves. Tip-off will be at 7:30 p.m. MST and will be broadcasted on ESPN.
