Marc Stein: Phoenix Suns Shopping Miles Plumlee

The Phoenix Suns and their busy month of making moves might not be over quite yet.

In a tweet from Marc Stein of ESPN, the Suns are currently actively shopping center Miles Plumlee.

It looks as though a possible trade is in the very early stages, as Stein made no mention of what team or which players could be involved, but Phoenix considering to move Plumlee makes a lot of sense.

The former Duke Blue Devil averaged 8.1 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.1 blocks last season in his first full year in the league, but he has taken a step back this season. Seeing a decrease in minutes, the 26-year-old is averaging 4.7 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.0 blocks this year.

Plumlee was the Suns starter at center for the first couple of months of the season, but he has since been relegated to the bench over recent weeks because of the emergence of Alex Len and the acquisition of Brandan Wright last week. Plumlee has played a total of 22 minutes over the past three games.

At this point, it’s anyone’s guess on what the Suns could get back in a deal for Plumlee. Are the Suns looking strictly for a draft pick and some salary relief or are they trying to package Plumlee and maybe a draft pick of their own to get a bigger piece?
