Chicago Blackhawks Rout Arizona Coyotes

The Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Arizona Coyotes 6-1 on Tuesday night. Arizona was completely outplayed by the highly skilled Chicago team. Mike Smith actually played well as the score would have been much worse if it weren’t for Smith.

The first period was an ugly one for Arizona. They weren’t necessarily playing bad, it’s just that Chicago is an elite team and they can outplay anybody. Chicago scored twice in the period and out shot the Coyotes 20-9.

More from Arizona Coyotes

The second period didn’t go much better than the first did for Arizona. The Coyotes took an excessive amount of penalties and were playing defense for a majority of the period. Lucas Lessio got Arizona on the board but that would be the only Arizona goal in the period. Chicago scored three more goals and ended the period with 37 shots on goal.

The third period was mostly Chicago killing the clock. Arizona had few chances, but couldn’t put it home. Chicago added one more goal late in the third. Mercifully, the game was finally over.
