Arizona Lands Warren Easton Receiver Darrell Clark
By Gabe Encinas
With signing day just over a week away, Arizona received a verbal commitment from 3-star receiver Darrell Clark. Clark stands in at 5-10 175lbs out of Warren Easton High School (New Orleans, LA). Clark is rated as the #69 recruit out of Louisiana and the #170 receiver in the nation. He held offers to Missouri, Louisville and Utah.
Rich Rodriguez and company have done a lot of recruiting out of Louisiana, especially Warren Easton High School. With Clark’s commitment, Arizona has now landed six recruits from the state of Louisiana. Clark will join his high school teammate Kendall Franklin, 3-star hybrid linebacker coming in at 6-1 220lbs. Franklin is ranked as the #64 recruit in Louisiana and #57 weak-side defensive end in the country, according to 247Sports.
But Arizona isn’t done recruiting out of Warren Easton. 4-star linebacker Arthur McGinnis and 4-star receiver Clyde Leflore also hold offers. McGinnis is a top 20 linebacker in the country according to Rivals, standing in at 6-2 225lbs. He took his official visit on January 16th and holds offers to Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Notre Dame and UCLA. Leflore, a top 20 receiver, comes in at 6-0 170lbs with offers to Texas A&M, LSU and Clemson.
With linebacker Scooby Wright III leading the defense and one of fastest offenses in the nation, there’s a lot for these recruits to like when considering Arizona.
