Phoenix Suns Host John Wall, Washington Wizards

The Phoenix Suns host John Wall and the Washington Wizards tonight at US Airways Center. The Suns are coming off of a tough loss against the Los Angeles Clippers and are currently on a two-game losing streak.

The Suns’ loss to the Clippers on Sunday was a big one, as the Clippers pulled away in the second half to win 120-100. The Suns really let that game slip away from them as they had rallied back, but it all got away from them in the fourth quarter.

Something to watch out for in this one is coach Jeff Hornacek benching his players when getting technical fouls for arguing with the officials.

Markieff Morris was benched for the majority of the second half after he picked up a technical for arguing with an official, on a call that went in his favor. Hornacek has come out and said how tired he is of his guys picking up these kinds of technical fouls, and this seems to be his solution.

The Suns have been getting major production out of Eric Bledsoe in the past three games. He is averaging 25 points, 7.3 assists, and 6.3 rebounds per game in that span. Even though Phoenix has lost its last two games, Bledsoe has been playing at a very high level recently.

The Wizards are coming off of a close win last night against the Los Angeles Lakers, 98-92. At one point in that game, the Wizards were down by 19. But they rallied back to win a close one.

The Wizards have arguably the best point guard in the league in John Wall. Wall is averaging 17.3 points and 10.2 assists per game so far this season. Last night against the Lakers, Wall nearly had a triple-double with 21 points, 13 assists, and nine rebounds.

Wall has been the driving force behind this Washington squad. The Wizards’ record is currently 31-15, which has them sitting in the number two seed in the Eastern Conference only trailing the Atlanta Hawks for best in the East.

Tip off tonight is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. local time and can be seen on both Fox Sports Arizona and ESPN.
