National Signing Day: Arizona Football Recruiting Scorecard
By Tony Fischer
National Signing Day is Wednesday February 4th and the Arizona Football staff is preparing to welcome their new recruits to campus. The Wildcats recruiting class is solid but a little disappointing considering the recent resurgence. The Wildcats are ranked #39 nationally in 2015 good enough for just 9th in the PAC 12.
Here is how the rest of the PAC 12 conference breaks down:
- USC – #3 (National Rank)
- Oregon Ducks -15
- UCLA Bruins-19
- Sun Devils – 20
- Washington Huskies – 23
- Stanford Cardinal – 26
- Washington State Cougars-34
- California Bears- 38
- Arizona Wildcats- 39
- Utah Utes-49
- Colorado Buffaloes-64
- Oregon State Beavers- 68
Although they have just one 4-star recruit the Wildcats have been able to attach a number of recruits that rank highly for their positions. Nine Arizona Football recruits rank in the top 15 nationally in their positions according to 247 Sports.

The prize of the class so far has to be Devon Brewer. The 5′ 10″ corner from New York ranks #13 overall nationally and is considered the best prep school cornerback in the 2015 class. The Wildcats backfield gets another big recruit next season. Hometown product Paul Maglorie will be roaming centerfield for Arizona. The 6′ 2″ 215 lb safety ranks number 9 among safeties nationally. He (Like Brewer) is already enrolled and ready to join the Wildcats next season.
On the offensive side of the ball 4-star tackle Keenan Walker has committed to the Wildcats but has yet to sign his letter of intent. Walker is the tenth best tackle in the country and will be a key part of the offensive line moving forward.

The Wildcats have hit most of their targets this recruiting season but there is one big target that remains undecided. Four-star wideout Cordell Broadus is trying to make his decision between seven schools most of which come from the PAC 12. His father Calvin Broadus, better known as Snoop Dog, favorite is USC. But as Snoop said in a recent SI.com piece he will be proud of him son either way.
"“If he picks another university, I’m going to have on that university’s sweatshirt,” Snoop said. “But I’ll have on some SC drawers.”"
If the Wildcats can win this recruiting battle it could give the Anu Soloman an elite target to throw to over the next couple of season.
