The 6’5″, 308 pound tackle from Bellflower, California is the eighth Californian to commit to Arizona State in the 2015 class on National Signing Day.

RB Jaason Lewis
CB Kareem Orr
DE Jalen Bates
OL Cade Cote
OL Mason Walter
CB Stanley Norman
LB Malik Lawal
OL Dillon Faamatau
The headlining commit out of that group is four-star running back Jaason Lewis. Lewis committed to Arizona State back in September of 2014, according to 247Sports, but officially signed with the university today.
Lewis is a 6’2″, 247 pound power back from Virginia Beach, VA. He had offers from Florida, Ole Miss, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Ohio State, and UCLA, but chose Arizona State over each of those aforementioned.
In 15 games in his senior year, Lewis carried the ball 216 times while racking up 2,030 yards on the ground and found the end zone 31 times. He also corralled 18 passes for an additional 266 yards and four more touchdowns.
Three-star dual-threat quarterback Bryce Perkins, out of nearby Chandler High School, also signed with Arizona State on Wednesday. After committing to the Sun Devils back in April of 2014, according to 247Sports, Perkins went on to enjoy a very successful senior season.
Perkins led Chandler High School to a state championship while passing for just over 3,000 yards, 46 touchdowns, and only throwing six picks all year. He also ran the ball for 697 yards and a bonus five touchdowns.
It seems as if Chandler High School was trying to protect their stud quarterback this past season and not allow him to be running around in the open field as his rushing numbers went down significantly from his junior season. In his junior year he ran for just 808 yards, but rushed for 18 touchdowns compared to just the five from his senior season.

California - 8
Arizona - 3
Louisiana - 2
Texas - 1

The expansion of commits signing from all over the nation is a really good sign for the future of Arizona State football. After this past season recruits are starting to realize that Coach Todd Graham has it going on at this program at that the Sun Devils are a forced to be reckoned with.
