NBA Trade Rumors: Sacramento Kings Now Reluctant To Trade For Goran Dragic
By Tony Fischer
Goran Dragic’s public trade demands have taken a toll on his trade value. The Sacramento Kings who were previously interested and have the ability to offer one of the best packages have halted their pursuit of the Sun star point guard after hearing they are not on his preferred list of teams.
Via Yahoo Sports Adrian Wojnarowksi:
"As the Sacramento Kings continue to be warned that Phoenix Suns guard Goran Dragic would have no interest in signing an extension with them, the team has become increasingly reluctant to pursue a trade, league sources told Yahoo Sports. The Kings were not part of the list of preferred teams that Dragic’s agent, Bill Duffy, gave Suns management, but they probed the possibility of making a deal with Phoenix and trying to use the rest of the season – as well as the offer of a five-year contract – to sign Dragic after the season. The Kings would’ve been willing to offer a package that included 2014 first-round pick Nik Stauskus and a future first-round pick, but discussions are dissipating with the trade deadline approaching on Thursday afternoon, league sources told Yahoo Sports."
The teams either in or out on Goran Dragic have been changing by the mintues just ahead of todays 3 pm trade deadline. With Dragic’s declaration that he would not resign with any team outside of his preferred list, expect more teams to drop out of contention for Dragic.
