A year ago, Wisconsin defeated Arizona in the Elite Eight 64-63 in an overtime thriller.
Wisconsin forward Frank Kaminsky led the way with 28 points and 11 rebounds. The senior will look to avoid playing in his last collegiate game on Saturday, but has a tall task at taming the Wildcats.
Arizona (34-3) has been automatic over the past month and have only lost one game since January 15, going 20-1 in that span.
Following back-to-back double-digit victories to begin the tournament, Arizona defeated Xavier 68-60 in the Sweet Sixteen to advance to the Elite Eight. The Wildcats trailed by four points with seven minutes remaining, but battled back to take down the Muskateers and walked away victorious.
There have only been nine instances in which two programs rematched in the Elite Eight after playing in the same round the year before. The odds look good for Arizona as six of the last seven teams who lost the first matchup came back to win the second year.
