The Seattle Mariners have never won an American League pennant, but this may very well be the year that they do just that. McClendon’s club could also very well make their first postseason appearance since 2001 this year.

Bob Nightengale, writer for USA Today, predicts that the Mariners will defeat the Miami Marlins in the 2015 World Series.

With Felix Hernandez leading the pitching staff and the recent acquisition of slugger Nelson Cruz to go with the wizard at second base in Robinson Cano, the Mariners have slowly put together a dark-horse team to wreck havoc this year.
