NL Manager of the Year- Bud Black, Padres

The San Diego Padres went out and spent A LOT of money this offseason to obtain James Shields, Justin Upton, Wil Myers, Matt Kemp, Derek Norris, and Will Middlebrooks.

These acquisitions will pay off immediately for San Diego and manager Bud Black as they have thrust themselves into postseason contention. San Diego is the main competition to the Los Angeles Dodgers for the 2015 NL West crown.

Black has coached the Padres for eight years now and in year number nine he may clinch his first playoff appearance with the ball club. The 2010 NL Manager of the Year has a great shot at his second such award.
