While all of the other MLB “experts” out there are picking Chicago’s Kris Bryant to win the National League Rookie of the Year award, I am going to go with his 6’4″, 215 pound teammate Jorge Soler to walk away with the award.

The 23-year-old was called up to the Cubs in late-August of last season and appeared in 24 games. In 89 at-bats Soler hit five home runs and knocked in 20 runs while slashing .292/.330/.573. Soler also has an absolute cannon in right field and those who test his arm this year will be very upset with their decision-making process.

Things are looking great on the North Side of Chicago with the Cubs who look to be in a prime position in the next five years or so to finally win a World Series.

Diamondbacks’ third baseman Yasmany Tomas will also have his name in the running for the NL Rookie of the Year award.
