A.J. Pollock has the best numbers in the lineup against Giants’ Opening Day starter Madison Bumgarner. He is 7-for-24 (.292) with one home run and three RBI. In addition to the lone long ball, Pollock also has three doubles and one three-bagger against Bumgarner.
Pollock appeared in just 75 games in 2014, but played very well while healthy. His slash line was an impressive .302/.353/.498 and he added on seven home runs and 24 RBI to his name as well. He was also 14-for-17 on stolen base attempts.
Additionally, Pollock is a career .304 hitter in his friendly confines of Chase Field, including a .351 mark in 2014. Look for Pollock to jump-start his 2015 season well with good at-bats against Bumgarner on Opening Day.
