Cardinals Patrick Peterson Reveals Playing With Diabetes
Earlier this morning Patrick Peterson took to Twitter to reveal he has diabetes.
This morning Peterson tweeted, “I want to take a moment to address the media reports this morning regarding my health. While I did have abnormal sugar levels, I’ve been working with doctors on a strategic meal plan and workout routine that are reversing these symptoms. I’m grateful that this has been reversible for me and my health is back to normal. Thanks everyone for their concern and well wishes! Now back to my workouts and getting ready for the upcoming season!”.
The pro bowl corner back has been with Arizona since 2011 after he was drafted in the first round from LSU.
Peterson has been the most beloved player for the Cardinal fans, playing in every game since his rookie season. In his rookie season, he had four punt returns as he was demoted from the job this past season. Last season he had three picks with 43 total tackles.

He has been voted into the Pro-Bowl ever since his rookie season and is known as one of the best if not the best corner back in the NFL. He has always been at the top of his game ever since high school being a top recruit as well as an All-American at LSU in college.
Earlier this year head coach Bruce Arians took to the media to say Peterson had a problem with his blood sugar and had to change his diet. It officially did not come out until today. Peterson has no problem with it as he told the Arizona Republic “I am a diabetic. Let’s just keep it that way”.
It will be interesting to see if the Cardinals reach out to draft a corner back in the higher rounds due to this situation. He did have an off season last year but will look to play through it and return to the pro bowl next season.
