Goldschmidt has the fifth-highest batting average against the Padres’ starting pitcher, on Monday night, Andrew Cashner. Goldy also holds a .440 on-base percentage through the first six games of the year which ranks seventh overall in the National League.

Goldschmidt is also just three hits shy of 500 career base knocks. The slugger has reached base in 15 consecutive games against the Padres going 16-for-50 over that stretch for a .320 batting average.
