On Wednesday, Yasmany Tomas has been promoted from the Diamondbacks’ Triple-A affiliate, the Reno Aces, to join the major league ball club.

Tomas was hitting .190 (4-for-21) at the Triple-A level with a .261 on-base percentage and a .381 slugging percentage. One of his four base hits was a home run however and he also added three RBIs to his line.

The Cuban slugger played all five of his Triple-A games in right field and will likely share time out there with his fellow major league teammates as well as seeing time at third base too.

This roster move will likely excite many Diamondbacks fans as their biggest offseason acquisition will finally be able to produce for the big league club.

Stay tuned with us here at Heat Waved in the near future as we continue our following of the young, potential stud in Tomas.
