There will be a high level of competition for playing time on the depth lines. One name that took advantage of his increasing playing time was Mark Arcobello. Although Arcobello is a free agent this summer, he’s done more than enough to deserve a contract offer from the Coyotes. Arcobello had 16 points in his 27 games in the desert.

Along with him, Sam Gagner, proved to be one of the more durable and dependable players for the Coyotes. Missing only one contest this past season, Gagner was second on the team with 15 goals and first with 26 assists. A talented and still young skater (25), Gagner will provide Arizona with much needed depth.
Lucas Lessio will most likely get the first crack at the third line. Lessio has spent the season with the Coyotes as well as the Portland Pirates of the AHL. During his time with the Arizona, the 22-year old Lessio saw time on the first line. The third line to start the season may look like Lessio, Gagner, and Arcobello.
