The 24-year-old Cuban slugger will start for the first time in his career against the Rangers on Tuesday.
Tomas will man the hot-corner against Texas in his fifth career game. In his first four games of his career, Tomas has gone 1-for-4 from the dish with the one hit being a single.
Big things are expected from Tomas and manager Chip Hale is giving Tomas a big-time opportunity early in the year to contribute to his team’s cause.
