Well, duh.
This one was pretty easy. The unquestioned best player on the Diamondbacks heads into this series with a .296 batting average, good for third on the team. He leads the team in home runs (5) and runs batted in (16), and he’s tied for the team lead in runs scored and stolen bases. In case you weren’t aware, he’s good.
All that wasn’t good enough for you? Goldschmidt also torched the Pirates last season, going 8-15 (.532) in five games against Pittsburgh. Take that.
Look for the slugging first baseman to be a driving force this weekend at Chase Field.
