Week 16:
December 27th
University of Phoenix Stadium- Green Bay Packers at Arizona Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals will be happy to return home from the East Coast, but their opponent will be Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.
The Cardinals last played the Packers in 2012, were they lost 31-17. But that is not the games that everyone remembers.
The Arizona Cardinals played host to the Green Bay Packers in week 17 of the 2009 season, where the Packers easily won 33-7. But that was not the real game; the very next week the Cardinals hosted the Packers yet again for the Wild Card round of the playoffs.
That playoff game may have been the best quarterback battle ever, and possibly the greatest playoff game ever. It was a back and forth game Aaron Rodgers and Kurt Warner exchanging touchdowns. The game went into overtime where the Cardinals defense made their statement when they made Rodgers fumble and returned it for a touchdown. The 52-45 overtime victory is still the highest scoring playoff game in NFL history.
Will fans see the Cardinals of the first game or the high scoring offense? With Aaron Rodgers probably being Aaron Rodgers, Carson Palmer would have to have a career game to keep up with Rodgers. Packers will edge out the Cardinals.
Cardinals 24, Packers 31.
