Diamondbacks, Marlins square off in Miami
The Arizona Diamondbacks (15-21) travel to Miami to face the Marlins (16-22) in a four-game series. The Diamondbacks are coming off one of their worst series, as the Philadelphia Phillies swept them in a three-game series. The Marlins are also coming off a series sweep at the hands of the Atlanta Braves.
Both of these teams have been struggling as of late. The Diamondbacks and Marlins have lost seven of the last ten, and have had games with a lack of offensive production. These teams will want to get on the wining path, and they want to do it quick.
Aside from the lack of offense recently, the Diamondbacks are in the top of the league in offensive production. So Diamondbacks’ fans hope that eventually the bats will wake up and they hope it is in this series.
The Marlins have gotten so bad that they fired their manager. The Braves fired Mike Redmond, along with bench coach Rob Leary, after a near no-hitter. Early Monday morning the Miami Marlins announced Dan Jennings as their new Manager and Mike Goff as bench coach.

The probable pitching matchup for this series are as follows:
Monday [4:10pm MT]: Rubby De La Rosa (4-2) faces former Diamondback in Dan Haren (4-2).
Tuesday [4:10pm MT]: Jeremy Hellickson (1-3) faces Jarred Cosart (1-3) who is coming off a shortened outing due to injury.
Wednesday [4:10pm MT]: Chase Anderson (0-1) faces David Phelps (2-0). Phelps is coming off great starts against the Giants and Braves.
Thursday [9:10am MT]: Archie Bradley (2-1) faces Mat Latos (1-4) in the final game of this series.
The Diamondbacks hope that Paul Goldschmidt, Ender Inciarte, and the rest of the team can get their bats back as they face the Marlins.
