MLB never ceases to amaze. This week brought us a near no-hitter from Shelby Miller, one pitcher wining his first win in over 4 years, and a continuous Yankee dominance that has all of baseball confused.
But most unbelievable of all of these is this: the Houston Astros sit near the top of baseball with a 25-13 record. A team that was sitting in the gutter last year is now pounding out home runs like it’s Barry Bonds during the steroid era.
After the Brewers hired Craig Counsell as their new manager last week, another coaching change took place as the Miami Marlis parted ways with head coach Mike Redmond after a rough 16-22 start. Word is still out as to who will replace him.
Shelby Miller of the Braves fell one out shy of a no-hitter. Oh so close. Regardless the young righty still leads all of baseball with an eye-popping 1.33 ERA.
Look out, because the pre-season favorite Washington Nationals are on fire and gaining ground in our Power Rankings fast. Bryce Harper is inhuman over the past 7 games hitting .522 with 3 HR, 9 RBI’s and 9 walks.
So with that being said, here are the teams that gained/lost the most ground.
Largest Jump: Los Angeles Angels (up 9)
Largest Drop: Colorado Rockes (down 13)
Here are you MLB Power Rankings.
