1999: Shawn Marion (UNLV), 1st round, 9th overall

“The Matrix” goes down as one of the best draft picks in Suns history due to his ability to do basically anything and everything on the basketball court.

Marion’s best NBA season came in the 2005-2006 season when he averaged 21.8 points and 11.8 rebounds for the Suns.

In eight seasons with the Suns, Marion averaged 18.6 points, 10.0 rebounds, 1.9 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game while shooting 47.9 percent from the field and 83 percent from the charity stripe.

With the Suns Marion was a two-time 3rd-team All-NBA award winner, four-time all-star, and finished among the top-seven in steals per game in six seasons.
