Worst Draft Picks in Phoenix Suns History
By Eli Burk
Tim Perry (Temple): 1988 1st round, 7th overall
Even though Tim Perry had a pretty good stint with the Suns and had a solid career in the NBA, the 7th pick in the 1988 NBA draft did not come around for the Suns until his final season with them in 1991-92.
During the ’91-’92 season, Perry averaged 12.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.7 assists. Following that season, Perry became a member of the Philadelphia 76ers after the Suns sent him to get Charles Barkley. Perry did not perform there like he did the season before.
His numbers fell in nearly every category from the year before and continue to fall for the rest of his 8 year NBA career. After his NBA career, Perry went on to finish playing basketball overseas for multiples teams in Spain before retiring in 2001.
