After vaulting themselves into the top spot last week, the Royals stumbled, getting swept by the struggling Yankees and then splitting two games with the Cubs. The Astros lost back-to-back series against the Orioles and White Sox.

The Cardinals put together a quality week to capture the best record in Major League Baseball at 33-17. They swept a home series against the Diamondbacks and took two of three from the Dodgers. Quality wins over quality teams will always make you the hottest team in baseball.
