Coming off the disabled list, it is often hard to get back to where you left or batter. For Jake Lamb, he got injured in mid-April, just when he was starting to heat up offensively. Lamb is currently batting .333 and has one homerun; the homerun came in a game against the Giants.

Lamb only came back off the disabled list on June 6th and in the five games he has played he has only two hits and one RBI. He should begin to heating up again in this series against the Giants.

Lamb maybe average at the plate this season, but he is outstanding on the field. Lamb has a 1.000 fielding percentage, and has committed no errors. The Diamondbacks has had inconsistent third base play this season, with Yasmany Tomas and Aaron Hill replacing Lamb when he was on the disabled list.

Lamb will be key to the Diamondbacks success going forward, but he will most likely not play everyday until later this month.

Look for Jake Lamb to start getting back to his pre-injury self against the San Francisco Giants.
