Game 2:
Angels pitcher, Garrett Richards, decided to answer Robbie Ray’s outing with a solid performance of his own. Arizona was able to drive home a run in the second inning courtesy of a Pollock sac-fly but Richards shut down the D-Back lineup after that. Richards allowed one run on four hits while tallying six strikeouts.
A two run blast by Albert Pujols in the sixth and by David Freese in the eighth allowed the Angels to take a firm hold on the game. Huston Street would come in to add the finishing touches and earn his 20th save of the season.
Final score: Angels 4, D-Backs 1
