Game 3:
With the series shifting to Chase Field, the Diamondbacks were looking to get some early leverage on the Angels and they got just that.
Goldschmidt hammered his 19th home run of the season in the first inning to jump on L.A. right away. Tomas followed that with a triple in the third inning that scored David Peralta.
Wellington Castillo rifled a solo shot to left field in the fourth inning that made the score, 3-0.
Chase Anderson got the call to start for Arizona. He did only record two strikeouts and give up seven hits but Anderson was able to get out of some tight situations and limited the damage by the Angels in his six innings of work.
L.A. tacked on a run in the fifth and sixth innings but the D-Backs bullpen would silence the Angels for the remainder of the night. Brad Ziegler shut the door on the Angels and recorded his ninth save.
Final score: D-Backs 3, Angels 2
