Arizona is only five games out of first place in the N.L. West so this club is definitely in the race yet.
The D-Backs will need more stellar performances from their starting pitchers and Goldschmidt will have to keep delivering big hits.
I think it’s safe to say that Goldschmidt will continue to crush the cover off the ball but other guys in the daily lineup like Pollock, Tomas, Ahmed and Peralta will have to be successful as well.
The next two weeks of results will go a long way for this young team’s confidence if they can continue to grind out wins on a consistent basis.
