Gurley joins an extremely crowded Rams backfield (Tre Mason, Benny Cunningham, Isaiah Pead), but will most likely be the primary back in 2015 for St. Louis. Gurley was an absolute beast in college gaining 3,900 all-purpose yards and 42 touchdowns in just 30 games.
The 6’1″ 236-pound power back has the body type to compete at the NFL level and could very well finish as a top-15 running back fantasy wise in 2015 if he’s given the reins to the back field. Obviously having such great numbers in college and potentially being the Week One starter will push his draft stock up compared to other rookies, but Gurley could be well worth the gamble on draft day.
