Diamondbacks Get Set to Host Padres

Friday: James Shields vs. Rubby De La Rosa
Shields (7-0) has not lost a game yet this season. Despite that, he has not won a game since June 3rd against the New York Mets. His last two starts have ended in no-decisions. Most recently, he pitched seven innings against the Dodgers on June 14. In that appearance, he gave up one run on five hits. He also walked three and struck out six.
This season, Shields owns a 3.59 ERA in 87 2/3 innings pitched.
De La Rosa (5-3) enters the game with a 5.27 ERA so far in 2015.
He was awarded his fifth win on Sunday against the Giants after throwing eight shut out innings of baseball, giving up just eight hits and two walks. De La Rosa also picked up six strikeouts in his outing. Sunday’s win marked his first W since May 12 against the Washington Nationals.
