Sunday: Andrew Cashner vs. Jeremy Hellickson
Cashner (2-8) has struggled to find success here in 2015. He is just 1-5 in his last 10 games and hasn’t picked up a “W” since May 27 when he faced the Angels. Since then, he has picked up a loss followed by three consecutive no-decisions. He owns a 4.24 ERA overall this season in 85 innings pitched.
Hellickson (4-4) is also apart of that 5.00 ERA club most of the D-backs’ starters are in. Hellickson, Collmenter and De La Rosa all have ERAs above 5. The only starter who doesn’t make the cut is Chase Anderson, who sports a 2.84 ERA.
Hellickson is in with a 5.10 ERA in 72 1/3 innings pitched. He had a pretty good stretch at the end of May and beginning of June when he won three games in a row. Since his last win on June 5, he has gone 0-1 with an no-decision.
You can catch this NL West showdown with all three games airing live on Fox Sports Arizona & Fox Sports San Diego.
