Diamondbacks Win Series Against San Diego

The Arizona Diamondbacks took two of three from the Padres in a pivotal series that allowed them to stay within striking distance in the division. Arizona won this series thanks to their ability to jump on San Diego early with their bats and getting more solid work from their starting pitchers.
If the Diamondbacks want to be taken seriously when it comes to the conversation of contenders in the NL West, they have to win/sweep this series. It will be tough for Arizona to insert themselves into that discussion when they have to compete with the Giants and Dodgers but I think it’s a goal that can be accomplished.
