The Arizona Diamondbacks are fresh off dropping a three game set to the Colorado Rockies and will now dive into another divisional series with the San Diego Padres at Petco Park.
Arizona’s series loss to Colorado was a bit of a disappointment but this team has shown they can rebound and they can do it quickly. The Padres and D-Backs just faced off against each other last weekend in Phoenix with Arizona taking two out of three in that series.
As we get closer to the All Star Break, that also means we are getting closer to the halfway point of the season. The D-Backs are still 5 games back of the N.L. West leading Dodgers. So even though Arizona is just lingering around .500 for the moment, they’re not too far behind the Giants or Dodgers.
