Report: LaMarcus Aldridge to Meet with Suns

According to ABC15.com, highly touted free agent LaMarcus Aldridge will meet with the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday, the day the free agency period gets underway.

Aldridge, 29, averaged 23.4 points and 10.2 rebounds per game last year for the Portland Trail Blazers, good enough for 2nd Team All-NBA honors.

Although it is currently seen as a long shot that Phoenix is able to acquire such a talented big man such as Aldridge, it is not necessarily out of sight. Aldridge would be the primary post player and a guy that they can definitely center their offensive attack around.

Also, let’s say that the Phoenix Suns were able to sign Aldridge over the likes of the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, San Antonio Spurs, New York Knicks, and Los Angeles Lakers before signing Brandon Knight to his new deal… Would you then trade Eric Bledsoe, or run a starting lineup of Knight, Bledsoe, P.J. Tucker/T.J. Warren, Markieff Morris, and LaMarcus Aldridge out there?

I say if the Suns are able to nab Aldridge they should most definitely keep Bledsoe in purple and orange.

It will be a wild free agency period this year with multiple big names potentially on the move, but Aldridge is one of the headlining guys in the 2015 free agency class and what a pick-up it would be for the Suns if they were able to swoop in and get him.
