The Arizona Diamondbacks welcome the Colorado Rockies for a four game series beginning Thursday night at Chase Field. The Diamondbacks are coming off a series loss to the Dodgers and have dropped six of their last nine games, while the Rockies have lost five of eight after losing their three game set with the Athletics.

Both teams enter the series in need of a lift. After missing a golden opportunity to close the gap between them and the Dodgers, the Diamondbacks now find themselves seven games back of Los Angeles in the race for the National League West. The Rockies are ten games back and currently occupy last place.

Both teams boast formidable offenses and often problematic pitching, so which players will be key in this division matchup? Glad you asked, let’s take a look.
