Game 4:

The series finale featured a rematch of the De La Rosa’s on the mound (Jorge for the Rockies, Rubby for the D-Backs). The last meeting between these two resulted in Jorge and the Rockies getting the win.

Jorge would get some early help from his offense in the first inning. Troy Tulowitzki obliterated a three run shot and Ben Paulsen added an RBI single to give Colorado a 4-0 lead.

Yasmany Tomas slammed his fifth home run of the season in the second inning to cut the deficit to three but Carlos Gonzalez countered in the sixth inning with a two run homer to make the score 6-1 in favor of the Rockies.

Arizona gave their best effort late in the game to attempt a comeback. Tomas hit a sacrifice fly in the sixth to score Ahmed. In the eighth inning, Goldschmidt tallied another RBI double and Tomas recorded his third RBI of the game on a single to right field but the rally would ultimately fall short for the D-Backs.

In the De La Rosa match up, Jorge would get the win once again moving his record to 6-3 while Rubby dropped to 6-4 on the year.

Final score: Rockies 6, D-Backs 4
