Matt Shaughnessy:

He is a former linebacker, but Matt Shaughnessy will transition to defensive end after coaches thought it would more fit his size.

Shaughnessy has played in the NFL for six seasons, and played with the Oakland Raiders prior to coming to the Cardinals in 2013. His best season was in 2010 where he had seven sacks and 56 combined tackles.

In 2014, as a linebacker, Shaughnessy played in eight games and had 17 combined tackles. As he moves to DE, he will have the opportunity to be involved in plays more and get to the quarterback more often.
