The 24-year-old third baseman his hitting .333 against the Giants with a fantastic .667 slugging percentage. He’s also drawn seven walks in 40 plate appearances against San Francisco, and has been a thorn in their side since Opening Day.

Lamb, however, has hit a disappointing .227 at Chase Field this season. Mark Trumbo was essentially moved to clear the outfield jam that then made room for Lamb at third base, so the Diamondbacks need him to produce at a higher level, especially at home.

The left-hander will have favorable match ups against Matt Cain and Jake Peavy before likely sitting (or getting overpowered) against Madison Bumgarner, but look for him to make a difference in the first two games of the series.
