Game 2:
Arizona would try to get rid of the sour taste in their mouth following their crushing loss the night before. The D-Backs would strike first in the second inning thanks to a Chris Owings single that would score Peralta.
San Francisco would respond with a four run third inning that included a pair of two run singles by Buster Posey and Brandon Crawford to give the Giants a 4-1 lead.
The Giants continued to pour it on in the fourth inning. Pagan started the inning with a sacrifice fly to center field scoring Susic. Posey delivered another single allowing Panik to score and Pence would follow with an RBI single of his own to make the score 7-1 after four innings.
The D-Backs would not go quietly. Arizona kept chipping away at the lead starting with an Ender Inciarte single scoring Oscar Hernandez in the fifth. Peralta bombed a home run to left field in the sixth to make the score 7-3.
Cliff Pennington banged a homer of his own in the seventh to cut the lead to three but the comeback attempt would come up well short.
Posey tallied his fourth RBI in the 8th inning on another single to make the score 8-4 and the Giants would slam the door on the game from there.
Final: Giants 8, D-Backs 4
