Game three of this series saw another great pitching performance by both Rubby De La Rosa and Taylor Jungman.
The D-Backs were able to get to Jungman early in the first inning, where they scored their only runs of the game. Goldschmidt doubled in a run and later scored on a RBI single by Jake Lamb. Jungman was solid the rest of the game as he pitched six innings, giving up four hits, two runs, while walking four and striking out seven.
After his good outing in his last start against Miami, De La Rosa was spectacular in this one. De La Rosa pitched eight shutout innings, only allowed four hits, while walking two and striking out six. De La Rosa was able to keep the hot hitters of the Brewers at bay in this one. Braun went 1-4 with a strikeout, Lucroy went 0-3, and former D-Back Gerardo Parra went 1-5 with three strikeouts.
The Diamondbacks were able to close out game three of this series by a score of 2-0.
