As mentioned earlier, Hernandez is one of the best pitchers in the game. He leads the Mariners with a 2.69 ERA, 12 wins and 124 strikeouts this season.

In fact, Hernandez is tied for the second-most wins in all of baseball with Dallas Keuchel of the Houston Astros with 12. Gerrit Cole of the Pittsburgh Pirates is the leader with 14.

In his last seven games, Hernandez is 3-2 with a 1.51 ERA. He allowed only eight earned runs and struck out 42 in that span.

In his last start against the Toronto Blue Jays, Hernandez picked up a win after seven innings of work in which he allowed one earned run on seven hits. He also walked one and struck out seven.

Hernandez has not won back-to-back games though since May 22 and May 27.  Prior to that, Hernandez had won five-in-a-row from April 18 – May 10.

Hernandez owns a career ERA of 3.05 and had recorded 2,075 strikeouts.
