Corbin is trying to snap a three-game losing streak.

Since returning from the DL, Corbin is 1-3 with a 3.68 ERA. He started off with a win against the Colorado Rockies on July 4, but has since lost to the Mets, Giants and Brewers.

It’s not that he’s pitched poorly, he just hasn’t received offensive support. He’s only allowed seven earned runs in those three losses combined with four runs at the most in one game.

So, he’ll be looking to snap that streak, but he’ll have to do so against Felix Hernandez.

That is a mighty feat to accomplish.

Hernandez has been lights out as of late and he’ll definitely keep the D-backs’ offense on their toes. And since the D-backs haven’t scored many runs during Corbin’s last few starts, it’s doubtful they’ll score many when they face Hernandez.

But the Corbin/Hernandez matchup on Wednesday will no-doubt be the most exciting part of the series.

What a way to close things out in a game that could decide the series winner.
