The Arizona Diamondbacks (49-51) are officially on a roll.
After defeating the Milwaukee Brewers twice in the final two games of the series over the weekend, they kept the momentum alive and swept the Seattle Mariners in three games at Safeco Field.
Coming into the series, the D-backs were 5-3 against American League ball clubs this season and 8.5 games out of first in the NL West.
After Wednesday, Arizona is now just two games below .500, having won six of their last seven games, and 6.5 games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Mariners now drop to 46-56 and are 4-6 in their last 10 games. With the Houston Astros regaining the lead in the AL West, the Mariners are now 11 games out.
